Do your children ask you questions about God? Are they challenged by their peers about what they believe or don’t believe? Do they ask you about death and what happens after we die? Children are curious and full of wonder, yet their questions can often catch us off guard particularly when we may not even be sure what we think about some of these questions. This class is to help parents in their role as the primary spiritual teachers of their children. Children will learn about faith first from you. What do you hope to pass onto your children?
The topics will include: Understanding Your Own Spiritual Journey; Answering the Big Questions; Ethics: Living Our Values and Practicing Faith at Home. Since it will be a web-based class with recorded webinars, parents can participate from the comfort of their homes. Grandparents please encourage your children to participate. I promise lots of resources, websites and ideas to help.
This class will begin with one in-person gathering for all those interested, on Sunday September 28 at noon. Please bring your children! Grandparents are you interested or think your children might be? Then please join us and let them know. This will be a time to hear more from me about the class and to ask questions. The rest of the class will be in an online webinar format. There will be four one-hour webinars: October 8, October 22, November 5, and November 19 from 8:30 – 9:30 pm. These webinars will enable participants to talk with one another and ask questions. Also, each webinar will be recorded so if you miss it you can catch up later.
